Player Spotlight: Meet The Fore All Junior Golf Foundation Match Play Participants

This August, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour and the Fore All Junior Golf Foundation are proud to host the inaugural Fore All Junior Golf Foundation Match Play Challenge, an invitation-only, elite junior golf showdown at the prestigious Club at Ibis in West Palm Beach. In a 24-versus-24 team format, boys and girls ages 10 to 18 from across the country will battle head-to-head in 9-hole and 18-hole match play, testing skill, strategy, composure, and teamwork under pressure.

This week, we are proud to introduce two members from the Hurricane Team and one member from the Fore All Junior Golf Foundation Team. We will feature more players from each team leading up to the event on August 9-10, 2025.

Who is your favorite golfer, and why do they inspire you?

I don’t have a favorite golfer. However, I do love watching Scottie Scheffler because he’s a great player without being showy.

What is your favorite golf brand(s) to wear on the course?

Titleist

Tell us about your future goals and how golf fits into the big picture.

I would like to play collegiate golf. I’m not sure how golf will fit into the future, but I do know it can open doors for me in my career.

What advice do you have for younger players starting their junior golf journey?

Sometimes you will learn more from the bad tournaments than the good ones. Enjoy the victories, but don’t overlook the lessons learned from the hard days.

Where would you like to play collegiate golf and why?

I would love to play for the University of Florida. My sister is a UF grad, and I love the campus and area. However, I’m exploring all my options over the next few years.

What is your favorite golf course or tournament?

I loved playing in Scotland. The courses there are so different than the Florida courses. There is also an amazing course in Colorado called Raindance. It’s the longest golf course in North America, and the views are awesome. The pro shop is housed in an old grain bin, and antique farm equipment is scattered throughout the course. It’s such a unique golf experience.

What excites you the most about the upcoming Fore All Match Play Challenge?

I love the chance to play a competitive team golf experience with some great junior golfers.

What are you doing to prepare for this match-play event?

Practicing and playing in several summer tournaments.

Who is your favorite golfer, and why do they inspire you?

My favorite golfer is Fred Couples; his longevity, demeanor, and swing are just smooth and inspiring.

What is your favorite golf brand(s) to wear on the course?

My favorite brands to wear on the course are Rhoback and Nike.

Tell us about your future goals and how golf fits into the big picture.

I would love to continue my golfing experience in college and beyond.

What advice do you have for younger players starting their junior golf journey?

I would advise being humble and patient on the course, which will mostly lead to the best scores.

Where would you like to play collegiate golf and why?

At the moment, I don’t know what my choices are.

What is your favorite golf course or tournament?

My favorite golf course would be Pinehurst #10 in North Carolina

What excites you the most about the upcoming Fore All Match Play Challenge?

Match play is a rare opportunity in junior tournaments, which makes this experience even more exciting and a time to look forward to.

What are you doing to prepare for this match-play event?

To prepare, I’m practicing EVERYTHING.

Who is your favorite golfer, and why do they inspire you?

I have so many players that I love to watch, but if I had to pick one as my favorite, it would be Collin Morikawa. I’m not sure what the inspiration is; I just like his game.

What is your favorite golf brand(s) to wear on the course?

My Favorite brand varies from clubs to clothing. In terms of Clubs, I use TaylorMade Qi35 Driver and Woods. My irons are Ping I530. In terms of clothes, I tend to stick with Callaway and Nike.

Tell us about your future goals and how golf fits into the big picture.

My goals are more process-driven. I enjoy refining my process, practicing shot shaping, and continually striving to improve by 1% throughout the journey. At only 10 years old, I really have no goals of becoming a future PGA player. I just want to enjoy the moment and see where it takes me. Golf has allowed me to spend more time with family and friends and take me to places I would never have gone if I had not taken up the sport.

What advice do you have for younger players starting their junior golf journey?

Just have fun, don’t get too caught up in wins and losses, just get on the course, make friends, and enjoy the time on the course.

Where would you like to play collegiate golf and why?

I haven’t really thought about it , first I would like to play for my school, which is Lake Mary Prep.

What is your favorite golf course or tournament?

My favorite Golf course that I have played has to be any of the Pinehurst courses. However, I enjoy all the Disney courses as well as Lake Nona.

What excites you the most about the upcoming Fore All Match Play Challenge?

I really enjoy playing as a team. The team tournaments sometimes take a bit of pressure off and allow me to have more fun.

What are you doing to prepare for this match-play event?

I currently have lessons a couple of times a week and work on my simulator. With all the major tournaments coming up during the summer, I think I will be well prepared for the match-play event.

More on the Fore All Junior Golf Foundation Match Play Challenge…

The Club at Ibis boasts three Nicklaus-designed championship courses and world-class amenities, providing an exceptional setting for this next-level competition. The weekend kicks off Friday evening, August 8, with a Pairings Party and Dinner—an opportunity for players, families, sponsors, and staff to connect and celebrate the spirit of junior golf in a welcoming, social atmosphere. Competitors will don custom team gear, receive special gifts, and fully immerse themselves in an unforgettable hospitality experience.

Created through a partnership with Carson Lowe and Nicholas Zaccagnino—Fore All’s co-founders and junior golfers passionate about expanding access to the sport—the Match Play Challenge showcases how golf can unite youth from diverse communities in meaningful competition and camaraderie.

As Rex Grayner, HJGT’s SVP of Business Development, noted: “This event reflects the best of what junior golf can be—competitive, inclusive, and inspiring.” This Challenge is more than a tournament for these junior athletes; it’s a chance to build character, foster friendships, and demonstrate how teamwork and tenacity define true junior golf excellence at one of Florida’s premier venues.
