Hurricane Junior Golf Tour hosted the Kingsmill Junior Open this past weekend, May 31- June 1, at Kingsmill Country Club. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of 5 divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15, Division, Boys 12-13 Division, Boys 10-11 Division, and Girls 14-18 Division.
Joseph Vartabedian from Crofton, MD claimed first place this weekend with rounds of 71 and 71, finishing with a total score of 142. Brennan Zide from Midlothain, VA earned runner-up honors with scores of 76 and 76 for a total of 152. Colton Thomas from Salisbury, MD finished in third place with scores of 76 and 77 for a weekend total of 153.
Ethan Trobaugh of Aldie, VA and Brayden Loehr of Moseley, VA finished the final round tied, each posting a total score of 149. Trobaugh recorded rounds of 75 and 74, while Loehr carded 80 and a tournament-low 69. In a playoff, Trobaugh secured the victory. Tanner Brobst of Smithfield, VA claimed third place with consistent rounds of 75 and 78 for a total of 153.
Ryan Totte from Falls Church, VA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Totte brought in scores of 75 and 76 for a combined total of 151 for the weekend. Logan Gwiz from Woodbridge, VA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 79 and 85 for a combined total of 164. Parker Broaddus from Midlothian, VA finished in third place with scores of 88 and 77 for a weekend total of 165.
Keegan Lilley from South Prince George, VA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Lilley brought in scores of 82 and 81 for a combined total of 163 for the weekend. Colston Pilcher from Richmond, VA finished runner-up this weekend with scores of 85 and 86 for a total of 171. Blake Vlahakis from Ashland, VA finished in top three honors with scores of 82 and 90 for a weekend total of 172.
Paige LaRocco from Phoenix, AZ was the first-place finisher this weekend. LaRocco brought in scores of 97 and 97 for a combined total of 194. Josephine Hughes from Williamsburg VA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 97 and 98 for a combined total of 195. Shay Hohlrieder from Seaford, VA finished in third place with scores of 101 and 95 for a weekend total of 196.
