The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour turned up the intensity over the weekend of May 10–11 as some of the nation’s top junior golfers descended on the breathtaking Shenandoah Valley Golf Club- the Old Course for the Northern Virginia Spring Junior Open. Under blue skies and on championship-level turf, players battled through 36 holes of high-stakes, edge-of-your-seat action. From jaw-dropping shots to pressure-packed putts, the tournament featured standout performances across five fiercely competitive divisions: Boys 16–18, Boys 14–15, Boys 12–13, Boys 10–11, and Girls 14–18.
In one of the most thrilling finishes of the weekend, J.T. Deevy of McLean, VA emerged victorious in the Boys 16–18 Division after a dramatic three-way tie at the top. Carlin carded rounds of 75 and 71, finishing with a two-day total of 146 to claim the championship title after a close playoff hole. Will Carlin of Ashburn, VA matched that total with consistent rounds of 73 and 73, securing the runner-up spot. Rounding out the top three was Jackson Quinn of Leesburg, VA, who also posted back-to-back rounds of 73, finishing with a matching 146 total. The close competition made for an unforgettable battle among the division’s best.
John Carlin from Ashburn, VA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Carlin brought in scores of 79 and 73 for a combined total of 152 for the weekend. Sebby Horne from Charlottesville, VA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 77 and 76 for a combined total of 153. Andrew Draper from Roanoke, VA finished the top three honors with scores of 81 and 75 for a weekend total of 156.
Ryan Totte from Falls Church, VA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Totte brought in scores of 77 and 74 for a combined total of 151 for the weekend. Asher Krawiecki from Leesburg, VA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 91 and 84 for a combined total of 175. Declan Cameron from Arlington, VA brought in scores of 91 and 89 for a combined total of 180.
Jackson Polsinelli from Arlington, VA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Polsinelli brought in scores of 88 and 86 for a combined total of 174 for the weekend.
