The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour returned to the scenic Saddlebrook Resort in Wesley Chapel, Florida, for an unforgettable weekend of junior golf competition at the Saddlebrook Spring Junior Open, held March 29-30, 2025. With gorgeous Florida weather and a spirited field of competitors, junior golfers brought focus and flair across four competitive divisions.
Guankhua Van of Wesley Chapel, FL finished in first place, making the hometown crowd proud with
rounds of 82 on Day 1 and 73 on Day 2, for a total of 155 strokes. David Colby of Edina, MN came in
second, posting rounds of 81 and 74 to also finish at 155 strokes. Edwin Fenton of Bradenton, FL rounded
out the top three with an impressive 74 on Day 1 and 81 on Day 2, finishing at 155 strokes. With all three
players tied at the top, it was Van who emerged as the winner after tiebreaker criteria were applied.
Jad Mourine of Rabat, Morocco finished in first place, carding rounds of 83 on Day 1 and 80 on Day 2,
totaling 163 strokes. Stefan Baier of Grand Blanc, MI took second with scores of 86 and 79, for a final of
165 strokes. Julian Bugara of Prospect Hts., IL followed closely in third, scoring 80 and 86 across the two
days for a total of 166 strokes
Bentley McNamara of Woodstock, Ontario, Canada impressed with strong rounds of 72 on Day 1 and 76
on Day 2, finishing in first place with 148 strokes. Maxime Moser of Miami, FL and Zachary Simon of
Tampa, FL tied for second place, both posting totals of 182 strokes. Moser recorded rounds of 95 and 87,
while Simon shot 88 and 94
Zara Staley of Sarasota, FL claimed first place with scores of 77 on Day 1 and 72 on Day 2, totaling 149
strokes. Emily Storm of Lakewood Ranch, FL earned second place with rounds of 78 and 75, finishing at
153 strokes. Noha Ghadi of Rabat, Morocco completed the top three with rounds of 79 and 76, ending
with 155 strokes
