Rex Grayner
Vice President, Business Development
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour is excited to announce the hiring of Rex Grayner. Rex will serve as the Vice President of Business Development. Previously Rex served as President/General Manager, HS Sports Division at Optima Sports Group. From 2002-2021, Rex he served as President/Founder of Student Athlete Showcase, LLC, a national recruiting & marketing services company for college bound athletes. During his time at SAS, Rex helped over 15,000 high school athletes get recruited to play their sport in college. Rex is a recipient of the Denver Business Journal “Forty Under 40” Award and served as VP West Coast for College Bound Student Athletes and Executive Director of College Foundation Planners, Inc. from 1997-2002. Rex graduated from Central Michigan University with his Master’s Degree in Sport Management. At CMU he was awarded a Graduate Assistant position within the Athletic Department and served as the President of the CMU Sport Administration Club. In addition to his time in Mt. Pleasant, he completed an internship with the University of San Diego, working in the NCAA compliance department. Rex has an extensive background in consulting/data driven sales, training, presentation creation & delivery, and building partnerships. He has an all around team player mentality and is enthusiastic about strategic marketing and lead generation to help drive growth here at the HJGT. We are extremely excited to welcome Rex to our team!
