World Golf Village Jr. Open

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the  World Golf Village Jr. Open from November 23rd to the 24th. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, and Justin Rose Division Girls Under 13

Boys 16-18

World Golf Village Jr. Open

Yun Long Goa from Bradenton, Florida clinched the division title with scores of 73 each day for a combined total of 146 for the weekend. He shot 6 birdies through the weekend. James Ballato of Fernandina sealed the second place title with scores of 74 and 73 for a total score of 147. Carter Lewis of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida finished with the third place title with scores of 77 and 72 for a total score of 149.

Boys 14-15

World Golf Village Jr. Open

Jp English of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida stole the champion position and finished with scores of 79 and 75 for a total of 154 for the weekend. Thomas Cush is our runner up this weekend. Cush put up scores of 77 and 78 for a total of 155. Teddy Peterson of Omaha, Nebraska rounds out the division with third place. Peterson’s scores consisted of 81 each day for a total of 162 for the weekend.

World Golf Village Jr. Open

Justin Zullin of Sarasota, Florida was the first-place finisher this weekend with scores of 79 and 71 for a combined score of 150. Finishing in second place was CJ Kemble of North Port, Florida. Kemle’s scores consisted of 85 and 77 for a total score of 162. Not far behind was Jackson Hope of Dallas, Georgia. Hope was the third place finished with scores of 79 and 85 for a grand total of 164.

Girls 14-18

World Golf Village Jr. Open

Marissa Cardenas of St. Augustine, Florida led her division as she finished with scores of 77 and 69 for a grand total of 146 for the weekend. Cardenas shot 7 birdies this weekend. Elizabeth Kondle of   St. Augustine, Florida took home the second place title with scores of 71 and 77 for a total of 148. Kondle shot 3 birdies through the weekend. Rounding out the division was Hannah Stevens of Jacksonville, Florida. Stevens had scores of 75 and 76 for a total of 151.

Alexandra Drum  sweaps the champion spot with scores of 94 and 89 for a total of 183. Alexia Iordanova is a near second with scores of 102 and 100 for a total of 202.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.

Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
