Windy City Junior Open

From June 18-19, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Windy City Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.

Boys 16-18

Windy City Junior Open

Brendan Anderson from Reunion, Florida was the first-place finisher this weekend. Anderson brought in scores of 79 and 77 for a combined total of 156 for the weekend. Edward Nash from Asheville, North Carolina was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 76 and 82 for a combined total of 158. Luke LaFond from Green Bay, Wisconsin finished with a third place tie with scores of 79 and 80 for a weekend total of 159. Leo Romano from Chicago, Illinois finished the top three honors with a third place tie scoring 80 and 79 for a weekend total of 159.

Windy City Junior Open

Abhay Agarwal from Long Grove, Illinois was the first-place finisher this weekend. Agarwal brought in scores of 83 and 78 for a combined total of 161 for the weekend. Rishi Kompala from Palatine, Illinois was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 91 and 85 for a combined total of 176. Troy Valoaga from Great Lakes, Illinois finished the top three honors with scores of 96 and 96 for a weekend total of 192.

Colin Biebel from La Grange, Illinois finished the top three honors with scores of 117 and 100 for a weekend total of 217.

Rylie Pryor from Buffalo Grove, Illinois was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 91 and 81 for a combined total of 172 . Pranvi Kakkar from Aurora, Illinois finished with a third place tie with scores of 88 and 89 for a weekend total of 177. Addison Laramore from Belleville, Illinois finished the top three honors with a third place tie scoring 85 and 92 for a weekend total of 177.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.

Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
