From January 21-22, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the White Heron Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.
Boys 16-18
Lucas Smith from Hamilton, Canada was the first-place finisher this weekend. Smith brought in scores of 75 and 76 for a combined total of 151 for the weekend. Tommaso Begali from Wesley Chapel, FL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 80 and 76 for a combined total of 156. Luke Schaal from Invermere, Canada finsihed the top three honors with scores of 77 and 81 for a weekend total of 158.
Boys 14-15
Paul Steele from Land O’ Lakes, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Steele brought in scores of 82 and 77 for a combined total of 159 for the weekend. Jordan Paulshock from Wesley Chapel, FL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 80 and 83 for a combined total of 163. Landon Mauser from Sewickley, PA finished the top three honors with scores of 82 and 90 for a weekend total of 172.
Boys 11-13
Anthony Primo IV from Marlton, NJ was the first-place finisher this weekend. Primo IV brought in scores of 77 and 92 for a combined total of 169 for the weekend.
Girls 14-18
Abigail Fernandez from Windermere, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Fernandez brought in scores of 84 and 82 for a combined total of 166 for the weekend. Kali Lantis from Spearfish, SD was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 88 and 90 for a combined total of 178. Starr Guity from Davenport, FL finished the top three honors with scores of 94 and 88 for a weekend total of 182.
Girls U13
Penelope Philip from Brentwood, TN was the first-place finisher this weekend. Philip brought in scores of 98 and 96 a combined total of 194 for the weekend. Taerin Lee from Jericho, NY was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 97 and 99 for a combined total of 196.
Boys 10 Under
Max Scally from Moon Township, PA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Scally brought in scores of 84 and 88 for a combined total of 172 for the weekend.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
