Washington County Junior Open

From September 5-6, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Washington County Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, and Justin Rose Division Girls Under 13.

Boys 16-18

Washington County Junior Open

Nick Amtmann from Nashotah, WI was the first-place finisher this weekend. Amtmann brought in scores of 73 and 72 for a combined total of 145 for the weekend. Ty Kretz from Marinette, WI was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 75 and 72 for a combined total of 147. Will Simpson from Pella, IA finished the top three honors with scores of 74 and 75 for a weekend total of 149.

Boys 14-15

Washington County Junior Open

Alex Weiss from Middleton, WI was the first-place finisher this weekend. Weiss brought in scores of 78 and 71 for a combined total of 149 for the weekend. Alex Koenig from Wales, WI was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 78 and 72 for a combined total of 150. Bode King from Hartland, WI and Aiden Cudney from Appleton, WI both finished in the top three honors. King finished with scores of 79 and 72 for a weekend total of 151. Cudney finished with scores of 75 and 76 for a total of 151.

Washington County Junior Open

Cody Guetzke from Hartland, WI was the first-place finisher this weekend. Guetzke brought in scores of 75 and 79 for a combined total of 154 for the weekend. Tyce Ortega from Wauwatosa, WI was the runner up for the weekend along with Noah Frederickson. Ortega with scores of 88 and 88 for a combined total of 176. Frederickson from Cottage Grove, WI finished with scores of 86 and 90 for a weekend total of 176.

Cassandra Psuik from Greenfeild, WI was the first-place finisher this weekend. Psuik brought in scores of 72 and 80 for a combined total of 152 for the weekend. Piper Hill from Medford, MN was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 77 and 76 for a combined total of 153. Grace Weiss from Faribault, MN finished the top three honors with scores of 81 and 85 for a weekend total of 166.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
