From August 31st and September 1st, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Virginia Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Bryson DeChambeau Division Boys Under 10, Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, and Justin Rose Division Girls Under 13.
Jacob Ferrari from Fredrick, MD was the first-place finisher this weekend. Burgess brought in scores of 74 and 69 for a combined total of 143 for the weekend. Dylan Allen from Issue, MD was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 72 and 72 for a combined total of 144. Andrew Watson from Fredericksburg, VA finished the top three honors with scores of 74 and 71 for a weekend total of 145.
Ryan Huppe, from Mclean, VA was able to seal his victory by ending the weekend with scores of 77 and 74 for a combined total of 151. Grant Exley from Great Falls, VA was the runner up with scores of 73 and 81 for a 154 weekend total. Drew Clark from Kennett Square, PA finished the top three honors with scores of 77 and 79 for a weekend total of 156.
Angad Manaise from Stamford, CT was the first-place finisher this weekend. Manaise brought in scores of 81 and 74 with a combined score of 155. Sam Walker from York, PA was the second-place finisher with scores of 77 and 82 for a total of 159. To round out the top three was Carson Looney from York, PA. Looney ended the weekend with scores of 81 and 80 for a total of 161.
Vileska Gelpi from Markleton, PA was the top finisher with impressive scores of 72 and 72 for a 144 weekend finish. Christina Cupelli From Fairfax, VA took home the runner up title with scores of 75 and 75 for a weekend total of 150. Eden Richmond from Princeton, NJ rounded out the top three with scores of 80 and 79 a combined total of 159.
Alina Ho from Great Falls, VA was the top finisher for the Justin Rose division with scores of 89 and 82. Her combined total for the weekend was 171 strokes. Leela Kenwood from Bethesda, MD was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 119 and 101, a combined total of 220 strokes.
Boys 10 Under
Winston Fisher from Mclean, VA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Fisher brought in scores of 103 and 114 with a combined score of 217
