From January 23rd -24th , the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the TPC Louisiana Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, , Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.
Boys 16-18

Jack Wetzel from Edina, MN was the first-place finisher this weekend. Wetzel brought in scores of 79 and 70 for a combined total of 149 for the weekend. Miles Merlin from Metairie, LA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 75 and 76 for a combined total of 151. Hayden Gatlin from Austin, TX finished the top three honors. Gatlin with scores of 82 and 82 for a weekend total of 164.
Boys 14-15

William Marshall from Madison, MS was the first-place finisher this weekend. Marshall brought in scores of 81 and 84 for a combined total of 165 for the weekend. Preston Giroir from Slidell, LA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 83 and 87 for a combined total of 170. Augie Johnson from Defiance, MO finished the top three honors with scores of 92 and 86 for a weekend total of 178.
Boys 11-13

Jude LeBoeuf from Lockport, LA was the first-place finisher this weekend. LeBoeuf brought in scores of 70 and 68 for a combined total of 138 for the weekend. Logan Heltz from Abita Springs, LA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 73 and 72 for a combined total of 145. Davis Conaway from West Chester, PA finished the top three honors with scores of 81 and 78 for a weekend total of 159.
Girls 14-18

Vivian Volion from springfield, LA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Volion brought in scores of 84 and 84 for a combined total of 168 for the weekend. Fiona Marks from New Orleans, LA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 87 and 84 for a combined total of 171. Victoria Stephens from Harahan, LA finished the top three honors with scores of 88 and 85 for a weekend total of 173.
Girls U13

Addison Douglass from Paxico, KS was the first-place finisher this weekend. Douglass brought in scores of 83 and 81 for a combined total of 164 for the weekend.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
