TPC Harding Park Junior Open

On Saturday May 19 – Sunday May 20, 2018 The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the TPC Harding Park Junior Open in San Francisco, CA. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole, two-day format and the field was made from six divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, Justin Rose Division Girls U13, and the Boys U10 Division.

Tiger Woods Boys 16-18

TPC Harding Park Junior Open

Lucas Happy of Petaluma, CA captured the title in the Tiger Woods Boys 16-18 division with a two day total of 150 (+6). He broke even on Saturday and shot a 78 on Sunday. He led in birdies (6), three of which were consecutive, and has now clutched his 2nd tournament win on the year. Happy tied for first on the par 3 leaderboard at 3.2 with second place finisher Conner Steward and third place finisher Wallace Lin. Steward had 5 birdies on the weekend and shot an impressive 71 stroke round on Sunday.

Will Smith Boys 14-15

TPC Harding Park Junior Open

In the Will Smith Boys 14-15 division, Giovanni Affrunti from San Mateo, CA took home the title after by only one stroke. Affrunti shot a total 162 on the weekend and led in birdies (2) and scoring average (81). Second place finisher Davis McDowell of San Rafael, CA won the day on Sunday but shot 163 overall. Chenhan Lin of San Jose, CA came in a close third, shooting 166 total.

Ernie Els 11-13

TPC Harding Park Junior Open

Conrad Chisman of Stanwood, WA won the weekend for the Ernie Els Boys 11-13 division with a combined total of 149. An impressive 74 stroke finish on the final round and 3 birdies overall would seal the deal for Chisman. Despite 7 birdies and a 73 stroke round on Saturday, Andre Chung of San Francisco, CA finished second. Coming in third was Charlie Farrell with a total score of 168.

Justin Timberlake Girls 14-18

TPC Harding Park Junior Open

The Justin Timberlake Division was very competitive, with the top 3 finishers within 4 strokes of each other. Clinching the title was Sammy Lee of San Ramon, CA after shooting 153 overall. Lee tied for most birdies (4) and remained at the top of the leaderboard for the entirety of the weekend. After 36 holes, Dymphna Ueda of Concord, CA came in a narrow second at 155 overall. Coming in third was Camilla Chung from San Francisco, CA. Chung also had 4 birdies on the weekend.

Justin Rose Girls U13

TPC Harding Park Junior Open

Ellie Bushnell from Granite Bay, CA claimed her second consecutive winning title this weekend in the Justin Rose Division. Bushnell shot two consistent rounds (+8) and finished at 162 overall. Coming in a close second was Haley Wong of El Dorado Hills, CA, who shot 164 after an 80 stroke round (+7) on Sunday. Third place went to Harper Clementz of San Francisco, CA who shot 167.

Boys 10 Under

TPC Harding Park Junior Open

Jayden Lizama of Elk Grove, CA earned the title of the Boys U10 division. Lizama shot a consistent game, giving him a total score of 161 on the weekend. He finished with a 3.4 par 3 average and earned his second consecutive championship title on the year.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
