From July 21-22, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the TPC Deere Run Summer Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of four divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, and Girls 14-18 Division.
Boys 16-18

Will Colegrove from Glencoe, IL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Colegrove brought in scores of 75 and 74 for a combined total of 149 (+7) for the weekend. Caden Jacobson from Lake Delton, WI was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 78 and 74 for a combined total of 152 (+10). Brayden Buffington from Bowling Green, MO and Leo Wessel from Indianapolis, IN tied for third-place. Both players had round scores of 79 and 74 for a score of 153 (+11).
Boys 14-15

Owen Howe from Des Moines, IA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Howe brought in scores of 74 and 82 for a combined total of 156 (+14) for the weekend. Ethan Blomme from Bettendorf, IA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 82 and 78 for a combined total of 160 (+18). Isaiah Zoske from Solon, IA finished the top three honors with scores of 85 and 79 for a weekend total of 164 (+18).
Boys 11-13

Finley Gastrau from St. Gallen, Switzerland was the first-place finisher this weekend. Gastrau brought in scores of 71 and 76 for a combined total of 147 (+5) for the weekend. Tyce Ortega from Wauwatosa, WI was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 85 and 85 for a combined total of 170 (+28). Jasper Gastrau from St. Gallen, Switzerland finished the top three honors with scores of 87 and 91 for a weekend total of 178 (+36).
Girls 14-18

Erika Holmberg from Bettendorf, IA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Holmberg brought in scores of 75 and 84 for a combined total of 149 (+17) for the weekend. Kiki Bruner from Washington, IA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 81 and 82 for a combined total of 163 (+21). Siena Minor from Columbia, MO finished the top three honors with scores of 85 and 79 for a weekend total of 164 (+22).

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
