On April 11, 2021, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the TPC Deere Run Spring Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 18-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.
Boys 16-18

Bennett Swavely from Hudson, WI took home the first place honors for the weekend. Swavely finished with an impressive score of 69. Hunter Johnson from Ankeny, IA and Nate Spear from Burlington, IA tied for the runner up honors. Both Johnson and Spear finished with a score of 74.
Boys 14-15

Coltrane Mittag from Ashland, NE was the first place finisher for the weekend. Mittag finished with a score of 77. Harper Ackermann from Webster Groves, MO, Caden Postma from Marion, IA, and Alex Weiss from Middleton, WI all tied for the runner up honors with a score of 80.
Boys 11-13

Nick Vilela from Washington, MO was the first place finisher for the weekend after a birdie in a sudden death playoff hole with Lyoto Bellon. Vilela finished the weekend with a score of 79. Lyoto Bellon from St. Louis, MO was the runner up for the weekend with a score of 79. Rounding out the top three honors was Cody Guetzke from Hartland, WI and Vaughn Roseman from Walcott, IA. Both finished with a score of 83 for the weekend.
Girls 14-18

Kendall Farm from Carol Stream, IL was the first place finisher for the weekend. Farm finished with a score of 80. Jaylee Castro from Kansas City, MO was the runner up for the weekend. Castro finished with a score of 82. AJ Powell from Appleton, WI rounded out the top three honors with a score of 86.
Girls U13

Addison Douglass from Paxico, KS was the first place finisher for the weekend. Douglass finished with a score of 91. Rylee Brockhouse from Muscatine, IA was the runner up for the weekend. Brockhouse brought in a score of 94.
Boys 10 Under

Brendan Gibson from Columbia, IL was the first place finisher for the weekend. Gibson finished with a score of 91. Mitchell Shroyer from Middleton, WI was the second place finisher for the weekend. Shroyer finished with a 102.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
