From June 13-14, 2020, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Tennessee Junior Open at Champions Run. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Bryson DeChambeau Division Boys Under 10, Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, and Justin Rose Division Girls Under 13.
Boys 16-18

Colin Alexander from Brentwood, TN was the first-place finisher this weekend. Alexander brought in scores of 74 and 79 for a combined total of 153 for the weekend. Gehrig Sexton from Monticello, KY and Rocco Zakutney from Paducah, KY were the runner ups for the weekend. Sexton had scores of 81 and 72 for a combined total of 153. Zakutney finished with scores of 79 and 74 for a weekend total of 153.
Boys 14-15

Harper Ackermann from Webster Groves, MO was the first-place finisher this weekend. Ackermann brought in scores of 74 and 77 for a combined total of 151 for the weekend. Michael Hake from Brentwood, TN was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 77 and 77 for a combined total of 154. Tyler Wilson from College Grove, TN finished the top three honors with scores of 77 and 83 for a weekend total of 160.
Boys 11-13

Bradford Lacefield from Versailles, KY was the first-place finisher this weekend. Lacefield brought in scores of 76 and 76 for a combined total of 152 for the weekend. Liam O’Grady from Louisville, KY was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 73 and 79 for a combined total of 152. Cameron Herring from Nashville, TN finished the top three honors with scores of 76 and 83 for a weekend total of 159.
Girls 14-18

Megan Hertter from Benton, KY was the first-place finisher this weekend. Hertter brought in scores of 77 and 72 for a combined total of 149 for the weekend. Abbie Lee from Glasgow, KY was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 78 and 71 for a combined total of 149. Reagan Padilla from Calvert City, KY finished the top three honors with scores of 78 and 76 for a weekend total of 154.

Boys 10 Under

Liam Hooton from Harvest, AL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Hooton brought in scores of 80 and 73 for a combined total of 153 for the weekend.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
