Tennessee Fall Junior Open

On Saturday September 29 – Sunday September 30, 2018 The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Maryland Fall Junior Open at Laytonsville Golf Club in Laytonsville, MD. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole, two-day format and the field was made from four divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, and the Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18.

Tennessee Fall Junior Open

Oscar Westh Blanc captured the first-place finish at the Tennessee Fall Junior Open in the Tiger Woods Boys 16-18 division with a 2-day total of 151 (83-78). With solid play both days, Blanc was able to hold off Riley Grant by 2 shots. Price Bryan from Corning rounded out the division with the 3rd place finish shooting a 2-day total of 155 (81-74).

Will Smith Boys 14-15

Tennessee Fall Junior Open

In the Will Smith Boys 14-15 division, Carrington Newell took home first place this weekend by shooting a 2-day total of 164. Solid play in the second round allowed Newell to take victory over Clark Akers who finished second with a 2-day total of 168. Rounding out the division was Aidan Collier of Greenville,TN who finished 1 shot behind Akers to claim a 3rd place finish.

Ernie Els 11-13

Augie Johnson did not disappoint in the Ernie Els boys 11-13 division as he carded rounds of 88-83 to win in his division over William Sanders of Grey, TN who carded rounds of 95-85 to claim 2nd place.

Justin Timberlake Girls 14-18

Sadie Pan ended up with the first-place finish in the Justin Timberlake Girls 14-18 Division by carding a total of 158 (80-78). With consistent rounds, Pan was able to hold off 2nd place finisher, Kelsee Neely by 3 shots. Rounding out the division was Zoe Robinson who shot a 2-day total of 164 to claim a 3rd place finish.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
