From December 12-13, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Tampa Bay Winter Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Bryson DeChambeau Division Boys Under 10, Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, and Justin Rose Division Girls Under 13.
Boys 16-18

Kiefer Bulau from Aurora, Canada was the first-place finisher this weekend. Bulau brought in scores of 73 and 69 for a combined total of 142 for the weekend. Connor DeMichele from Sarasota, FL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 73 and 75 for a combined total of 148. Ethan Irvine from Hamilton, Canada finished the top three honors with scores of 76 and 73 for a weekend total of 149.
Boys 14-15

George Goff from Hinsdale, IL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Goff brought in scores of 78 and 78 for a combined total of 156 for the weekend. Corey Edgar from Wesley Chapel, FL and Yexing Li from Shenzhen, China were the runners up for the weekend. Edgar came in with scores of 77 and 82 for a combined total of 159. Li finished with scores of 75 and 84 for a weekend total of 159.
Boys 11-13

Amine El Omari from Wesley Chapel, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. El Omari brought in scores of 78 and 82 for a combined total of 160 for the weekend. Sam Brandenburg from Trinity, FL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 84 and 81 for a combined total of 165. Jonner Kubica from Northville, MI finished the top three honors with scores of 86 and 82 for a weekend total of 168.
Girls 14-18

Nicole Felce from Holiday, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Felce brought in scores of 67 and 75 for a combined total of 142 for the weekend. Mariana Mesones from Wesley Chapel, FL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 74 and 72 for a combined total of 146. Giuliana Gomez from Miami, FL finished the top three honors with scores of 77 and 74 for a weekend total of 151.
Girls U13

Grace Carter from Jupiter, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Carter brought in scores of 80 and 80 for a combined total of 160 for the weekend. Leila El Omari from Tampa, FL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 95 and 93 for a combined total of 188. Isabella Giraldo from Ibague, Colombia finished the top three honors with scores of 105 and 95 for a weekend total of 200.
Boys 10 Under

Danilo Custer from North Palm Beach, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Custer brought in scores of 83 and 77 for a combined total of 160 for the weekend. Solomon Tong from Heritage Pointe, Canada was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 81 and 88 for a combined total of 169.

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
