Tampa Bay Junior Open

From September 18-19, 2021, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Tampa Bay Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.

Boys 16-18

Tampa Bay Junior Open

Andrew Siffert from Tampa, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Siffert brought in scores of 73 and 70 for a combined 143. Sam Mitchell from Pottstown, PA was this weekend’s runner-up with scores of 75 and 72 for a total of 147. Gaspar Glaudas from Sainte-Tulle, France and Levi Tichi from Durango, CO tied for the top three honors. Glaudas brought in scores of 76 and 72 for a total of 148. Tichi finished with scores of 76 and 72 for a total of 148.

Konner Kubica from Lutz, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Kubica brought in scores of 77 and 80 for a combined total of 157 for the weekend. Maximus Haines from Odessa, FL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 90 and 84 for a combined total of 174. Matthew McMahon from Palm Beach Gardens, FL finished the top three honors with scores of 94 and 99 for a weekend total of 193.

Bryce Napier from Palm Harbor, FL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 80 and 77 for a combined total of 157. Avery Liu from Windermere, FL finished the top three honors with scores of 79 and 79 for a weekend total of 158.

Juliette Prud’Homme from Montreal, Canada was the first-place finisher this weekend. Prud’Homme brought in scores of 79 and 74 for a combined total of 153 for the weekend. Taylor Zachary from Land O’Lakes, FL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 78 and 78 for a combined total of 156. Piper Hill from Medford, MN finished the top three honors with scores of 84 and 75 for a weekend total of 159.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
