From October17-18, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Syracuse Junior Open at SunsetRidge. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of four divisionsthat included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Ernie Els Division Boys11-13, Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, and Justin Rose Division GirlsUnder 13.
Boys 16-18

Shawn Colella from Marcellus, NY was the first-place finisher this weekend. Colella brought in scores of 73 and 75 for a combined total of 148 for the weekend. Charlie Fischer from Orchard Park, NY was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 75 and 83 for a combined total of 158. Mason Rivera from Rochester, NY finished the top three honors with scores of 78 and 82 for a weekend total of 160.
Boys 14-15
Boys 11-13

Daniel Young from Syracuse, NY was the first-place finisher this weekend. Young brought in scores of 82 and 86 for a combined total of 168 for the weekend. Lukas Zaari from Paris, France was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 109 and 105 for a combined total of 214.
Girls 14-18

Victoria Leach from Clarence Center, NY was the first-place finisher this weekend. Leach brought in scores of 92 and 86 for a combined total of 178 for the weekend. Marina Heister from Olean, NY was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 87 and 92 for a combined total of 179. Jayden Ford from Rochester, NY finished the top three honors with scores of 92 and 94 for a weekend total of 186.
Girls U13

Hayden Knapp from Gansevoort, NY was the first-place finisher this weekend. Knapp broughtin scores of 100 and 101 for a combined total of 201 for the weekend.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
