Summer Prep Series at Penn State

From June 4th-5th, 2022, the Hurricane Junior Golf tour held the Summer College Prep Series at Penn State. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.

Summer Prep Series at Penn State

Zachary Smith from Brampton, Canada was the first-place finisher this weekend. Smith brought in scores of 72 and 68 for a combined total of 140 for the weekend. Nolan Shilling from Murrysville, Pennsylvania was the runner-up this weekend with scores of 72 and 72 for a combined total of 149. Blake Bertolo from Gibsonia, Pennsylvania, Evan Jozwiak from Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania, and Stephen Ramos from Danville, New Hampshire all finished the top three honors tied for third place with scores of 78 and 71, 75 and 74, 72 and 77, respectively, for a total of 149 each.

Davis Conaway from West Chester, Pennsylvania was the first-place finisher this weekend. Conaway brought in scores of 74 and 79 for a combined total of 153 for the weekend. Hunter Probst from Bear Creek, Pennsylvania was the runner-up this weekend with scores of 76 and 78 for a combined total of 154. Nolan Corcoran from Lansdale, Pennsylvania finished the top three honors with scores of 81 and 76 for a weekend total of 157.

Will Johnson from Berwyn, Pennsylvania was the first-place finisher this weekend. Johnson brought in scores of 78 and 78 for a combined total of 156 for the weekend. Luke McGraw from Boalsburg, Pennsylvania was the runner-up this weekend with scores of 84 and 77 for a combined total of193. Nathan Begg from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania finished the top three honors with scores of 102 and 91 for a weekend total of 193.

Katie Rose Rankin from Sewickley, Pennsylvania was the first-place finisher this weekend. Rankin brought in scores of 77 ad 74 for a combined total of 151 for the weekend. Stefania Fedun from Glenmoore, Pennsylvania was the runner-up this weekend with scores of 78 ad 75 for a combined total of 153. Alexandra Petrochko from Hermitage, Pennsylvania finished the tope three honors with scores of 80 and 77 for a weekend total of 157.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.

Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
