From Wednesday June 26th through Thursday June 27th, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held St. Louis Summer Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of three divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15 and the Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18.

Tiger Woods Boys 16-18

St. Louis Summer Jr. Open

Kamaren Cunningham of Dover, TN took the first-round lead after scoring an outstanding 70. Cunningham remained at the top of the leaderboard all weekend, with a final round of 71 and winning by a margin of 4strokes. Drew Barclay of St. Louis, MO finished in second place with rounds of70 and 75 over the weekend for runner up honors. And rounding up our top-three was Matthew Redman of Ringgold, GA with a weekend total of 147 strokes and take third-place honors.

Will Smith Boys 14-15

St. Louis Summer Jr. Open

Max Sigman of Dardenne Prairie, MO was able to seal his victory with rounds of 74 and 74 over the weekend for a total of 148 shots. Riley Reynoso of St. Louis, MO claimed runner-up honors with a weekend day total of 168 shots. Rounding up the top three was Timmy Powers of St. Louis, MO with a weekend total of 172 strokes and claim third-place honors.

Olivia Sowers of Columbia, MO claimed first-place honors with a weekend total of 164 shots. Sowers was able to seal her victory with weekend rounds of 88 and 76 to win by a one-shot margin. Julianna Washka of Lantana, TX shot a weekend total of 165 shots to claim solo runner-up honors. Rounding up the top three was Lindsey Bye of St. Louis, MO with a weekend total of 166 shots to claim solo third-place honors.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
