On Saturday August 25 – Sunday August 26, 2018 The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the St. Louis Junior Open #3 at Far Oaks Golf Course in Caseyville, IL. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole, two-day format and the field was made from five divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Bryson DeChambeau Division U10, Justin Rose Division Girls U13 and the JustinTimberlake Division Girls 14-18.

Tiger Woods Boys 16-18

St. Louis Junior Open #3

 Drew Barclay of O’Fallon, MO captured the playoff victory at the St. Louis Junior Open #2 in the Tiger Woods Boys 16-18 division with a 2-day total of 151 (78-73). Barclay defeated Sam Staton of Clarksville, TN who also finished with a 2-day total of 151 (73-78). Tyler Dawson of St. Louis rounded out the division with 3rd place honors shooting a 2-day total of 154 (79-75).

Will Smith Boys 14-15

St. Louis Junior Open #3

In the Will Smith Boys 14-15 division Tyler Linenbroker took home first place honors in a thrilling battle in outlasting Cooper Benedict of Wildwood, MO in a playoff. Both players shot 2-day totals of 151. Rounding out the division was Max Sigman of Dardenne Prairie who finished 8 shots behind Lenenbroker and Benedict to claim a solo 3rd place finish.

Justin Timberlake Girls 14-18

St. Louis Junior Open #3

Lucy Bloomstran of St. Louis ended up with the first-place finish in the Justin Timberlake Girls 14-18 Division by carding a 36-hole total of 158. Lucy came out firing in the first round carding a 74. Bloomstran was able to hold off Olivia Florence of Gilbert who carded a 2-day total of 168 and claiming 2nd place honors. Rounding out the division was Mary Browder Howell of Murray, KY who shot a 2-day total of 177 to claim a solo 3rd place finish.

Justin Rose Girls U13

St. Louis Junior Open #3

In the Justin Rose Girls U13 division Eleanor Parkerson of Boston, MA took home the victory with firing a 2-day total of 146. Parkerson closed out the victory with firing a final round 72. Kennedy Swedick followed behind with shooting a 2-day total of 157 to take a solo 2nd finish. Rounding out the division is Sydney Young from New Canaan, CT who finished with a 2-day total of 160.

Bart Moccio of Frankfort, IL captured the win the Bryson DeChambeau U10 division in shooting a 2-day total of 174. Rounding out the division was Lyoto Bellon of St. Louis who claimed solo second with a 2-day total of 191.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
