From September 21-22, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the St. Louis Fall Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, and Justin Rose Division Girls Under 13.
Tiger Woods Boys 16-18
Cooper Benedict from Wildwood, MO was the first-place finisher this weekend. Benedict brought in scores of 78 and 70 for a combined total of 148 for the weekend. Blake Skornia from St. Louis, MO was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 77 and 72 for a combined total of 149. Hank Schaefer from Orlando, FL, Raymond Winter from St. Louis, MO, and Blake Mazzola from Chesterfield, MO, finished the top three honors with scores of 77 and 73 for Schaefer, 75 and 75 for Winter, and scores of 73 and 77 for Mazzola for a weekend total of 150.
Will Smith Boys 14-15
Trip Sanfelippo from Wildwood, MO was able to seal his victory by ending the weekend with scores of 75 and 77 for a combined total of 152. Colby Sauer from St. Louis, MO was the runner up with scores of 78 and 80 for a 158 weekend total. Bubba Chapman from St. Louis, MO finished the top three honors with scores of 79 and 81 for a weekend total of 160.
Ernie Els 11-13
Konnor Kueper from Carlyle, IL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Kueper brought in scores of 81 and 81 with a combined score of 162. Gabriel Gold from Quincy, IL was the second-place finisher with scores of 80 and 84 for a total of 164.Brody Sorrell from Evansville, IN rounded out the top three with scores of 83 and 89 for a combined total of 172.
Justin Timberlake Girls 14-18
Sofia Gamayo from Fenton, MO was the top finisher with impressive scores of 82 and 82 for a 164 weekend finish. Fiona Marks from New Orleans, LA took home the runner up title with scores of 85 and 87 for a weekend total of 172.
Justin Rose Girls U13
Sofia Gold from Quincy, IL was the top finisher for the Justin Rose division with scores of 85 and 82. Her combined total for the weekend was 167 strokes. Kylie Secrest from Ballwin, MO was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 91 and 82, a combined total of 173 strokes.
