Spring College Prep Series at UF

From May 8-9, 2021, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Spring College Prep Series at UF. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of three divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division,  Boys 14-15 Division, and Girls 14-18 Division.

Spring College Prep Series at UF

Ronnie Cao from Yunnan, China was the first place finisher for the weekend. Cao brought in scores of 79 and 74 for a weekend total of 153. Richard Fiedler from Pagosa Springs, CO and Eric Romedy from Tallahassee, FL tied for the runner up honors. Fiedler brought in scores of 76 and 78 and Romedy finished with scores of 74 and 80 for a weekend total of 154.

William Easterlin from Americus, GA was the first place finisher for the weekend. Easterlin brought in scores of 79 and 78 for a weekend total of 157.

Darby Hancock from Lakeland, FL was the first place finisher for the weekend. Hancock brought in scores of 79 and 83 for a weekend total of 162. Carmella Carlisi from Flagler Beach, FL was the runner up for the weekend. Carlisi brought in scores of 86 and 77 for a weekend total of 163.  Kaylee Ehret from Fort Lauderdale, FL rounded out the top three honors for the weekend. Ehret brought in scores of 81 and 83 for a weekend total of 164.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
