Southern California Spring Junior Open

From March 6-7, 2021, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Disney Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of four divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, and Girls 14-18 Division.

Boys 16-18

Southern California Spring Junior Open

Zhengfei Han from Shenzhen, China was the first-place finisher this weekend. Han brought in scores of 78 and 79 for a combined total of 157 for the weekend. Diego Carrillo from Beaumont, CA and was the runner up for the weekend. Carrillo finished with scores of 68 and 85 for a combined total of 171 strokes. Cole Lum from Moorpark, CA finished with the top three honors. Lum finished with scores of 88 and 84 for a weekend total of 172 strokes.

Matthew Diehl from Redlands, CA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Diehl brought in consistent scores of 77 for a combined total of 154 for the weekend. Sebastian Carrillo from Beaumont, CA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 84 and 76 for a combined total of 160. Alec Hilgers from Litchfield Park, AZ finished the top three honors with scores of 80 and 81 for a weekend total of 161.

Luke Ringkamp from Palm Desert, CA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Ringkampbrought in scores of 73 and 75 for a combined total of 148 for the weekend. Ronin Banerjee from Irvine, CA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 76 and 73 for a combined total of 149. Max Margolis from Rancho Mirage, CA finished the top three honors with scores of 76 and 78 for a weekend total of 154.

Eliana Hellon from San Diego, CA finished with the top three honors with scores of 99 and 98 for a weekend total of 197.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.

Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
