From March 26th-27th, 2022, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Southern California Spring Break Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.
Boys 16-18

Taeyoung Seo from CA, CA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Seo brought in scores of 72 and 79 for a combined total of 151 for the weekend. Keaton Orava from Washington, DC was the runner-up this weekend with scores of 78 and 76 for a combined total of 154. Carter Callan from Hanover, MN finished top three honors with scores of 89 and 93 for a weekend total of 182.
Boys 14-15

Jared Code from Calgary, CA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Code brought in scores of 78 and 73 for a combined total of 151 for the weekend.
Boys 11-13

Zachary Luo from Walnut, CA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Luo brought in scores of 73 and 70 for a combined total of 143 for the weekend. Cade Callan from Hanover, MN was the runner-up this weekend with scores of 78 and 74 for a combined total of 152. Brayden Jones from Seal Beach, CA finished top three honors with scores of 78 and 75 for a weekend total of 153.
Girls 14-18

Tyanna Jacot from Tamuning, Guam was the first-place finisher this weekend. Jacot brought in scores of 71 and 76 for a combined total of 147 for the weekend. Callia Ward from Albuquerque, NM was the runner-up this weekend with scores of 82 and 76 for a combined total of 158. Grace Claire Young from Los Angeles, CA finished top three honors with scores of 82 and 79 for a weekend total of 161.
Girls U13
Annika Hendrickson from Maple Grove, MN was the first-place finisher this weekend. Hendrickson brought in scores of 91 and 81 for a combined total of 172 for the weekend. Maia Houston from Desert Hot Springs, CA was the runner-up this weekend with scores of 86 and 87 for a combined total of 173.
Boys 10 Under

Amar’e Bautista from Winchester, CA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Bautista brought in scores of 81 and 83 for a combined total of 164 for the weekend.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
