Southeast Florida Winter Junior Open

From November 20-21, 2021, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Southeast Florida Winter Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Girls 14-18 Division and Girls Under 13 Division.

Boys 16-18

Southeast Florida Winter Junior Open

Ismael Garcia from Leon, Mexico was the first-place finisher this weekend. Garcia brought in scores of 75 and 74 for a combined total of 149 for the weekend. Weston Warden from Glenshaw, PA was this weekend’s runner up with scores of 76 and 76 for a total of 152. Lane Revell from Fort Meade, FL finished the top three honors with scores of 84 and 70 for a weekend total of 154.

Thaddeus Matteo Huainigg from Palm Beach, Austria was the first-place finisher this weekend. Huainigg brought in scores of 78 and 75 for a combined total of 153 for the weekend. Kai Francis from West Palm Beach, FL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 83 and 77 for a combined total of 160. Alex Morales from Delray Beach, FL finished the top three honors with scores of 82 and 83 for a weekend total of 165.

Joey Iaciofano from Lincoln. RI was the first-place finisher this weekend. Iaciofano brought in scores of 73 and 76 for a combined total of 149 for the weekend. Michael Quallich from Pittsburgh, PA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 77 and 81 for a combined total of 158. Borja Friend from Key Biscayne, FL finished the top three honors with scores of 82 and 83 for a weekend total of 165.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.

Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
