Southeast Florida Junior Open

From January 18th to the 19th, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Southeast Florida Junior Open in Pembroke Pines, Florida. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format, with a field of five different divisions that include Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, and Justin Rose Division Girls u13.

Boys 16-18

Southeast Florida Junior Open

Amani Dambrosio from Cheswick, Pennsylvania took home a first-place finish this weekend. Amani posted solid scores of 72 and 76 for a total of 148. Ryan Fenton out of East Williston, New York was the runner up with scores of 76 and 74 for a total of 150. Jacob Wolf out of Boca Raton, Florida rounded out the top three honors on the weekend with scores of 76 and 79 for a total of 155.

Southeast Florida Junior Open

Gabe Prissert out of West Palm Beach, Florida was the first-place finisher this weekend. Gabe posted scores of 79 and 73 for a total of 152. Robert Burns out of Grand Blanc, Michigan was the runner up with scores of 83 and 77 for a total of 160. Baxter Poe out of Raleigh, North Carolina rounded out the top three honors with scores of 84 and 81 for a total of 165.

Mason Tome out of West Palm Beach, Florida took home a first-place finish this weekend. Mason posted scores of 79 as well as an impressive 70 for a total of 149 on the weekend. Haris Khan out of West Palm Beach, Florida was the runner up with scores of 80 and 72 for a total of 152. Ethan Keen also out of West Palm Beach, Florida rounded out the top three honors with scores of 84 and 77 for a total of 161.

Annie (Hauxin) Zhang out of Winter Garden, Florida brought home a first-place finish this weekend. Zhang posted scores of 75 and a very impressive second round score of 66 for a total of 141 on the weekend. Isabella Bailly out of North Miami, Florida was the runner up posting scores of 74 and 72 for a total of 146. Karly Falanga out of Tequesta, Florida rounded out the top three honors with scores of 77 and 74 for a total of 151.

Angela Jiang out of Miami, Florida was the first-place finisher this weekend. Angela posted scores of 80 and 79 for a total of 159. Madison Hyndman from West Palm Beach, Florida was the runner up with consistent scores of 80 in both rounds for a total of 160. Abigail Lee out of Pembroke Pines, Florida rounds out the top three honors with scores of 96 and 85 for a total of 181.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.

Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
