South Jersey Junior Open

From September 18-19, 2021, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the South Jersey Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.

Boys 16-18

South Jersey Junior Open

Francis Wren from Egg Harbor Township, NJ was the first-place finisher this weekend. Wren brought in scores of 72 and 73 for a combined 145. Kevin Lydon from Doylestown, PA was this weekend’s runner-up with scores of 76 and 77 for a total of 153. Ethan Alexander from New Rochelle, NY, Luke Fazio from Schwenksville, PA, and Liam Hempel from Media, PA all tied for the top three honors. Alexander brought in scores of 77 and 79 for a total of 156. Fazio finished with scores of 79 and 77 for a total of 156. Hempel had weekend scores of 82 and 74 for a combined total of 156.

Boys 14-15

South Jersey Junior Open

Kasim Narinesingh-Smith from Kennett Square, PA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Narinesingh- Smith brought in scores of 77 and 76 for a combined total of 153 for the weekend. Ethan Weinberg from Marlboro, NJ was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 77 and 78 for a combined total of 155. Jack Aiello from Manalapan, NJ and Jonathan Raccuglia from Jackson, NJ tied for the top three honors. Aiello had scores of 82 and 77 for a combined total of 159. Raccuglia had weekend scores of 78 and 81 for a total of 159.

Tong Si from Millburn, NJ was the first-place finished this weekend. Si brought in scores of 70 and 72 for a combined total of 142 for the weekend. Paul Reilly from West Creek, NJ was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 80 and 83 for a combined total of 163. Keller Tannehill from Margate, NJ finished the top three honors with scores of 83 and 89 for a weekend total of 172.

Taylor Sieg from Summit, NJ was the first-place finisher this weekend. Sieg brought in scores of 85 and 81 for a combined total of 166 for the weekend. Emma Li from Newtown, PA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 85 and 87 for a combined total of 172. Talia Hoffner from Dresher, PA finished the top three honors with scores of 87 and 87 for a weekend total of 174.

Juliana Duggan from Egg Harbor Township, NJ was the first-place finisher this weekend. Duggan brought in scores of 86 and 88 for a combined total of 174 for the weekend. Sonia Kanwar from New York, NY was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 97 and 108 for a combined total of 205. Grace Rotatori from Stamford, CT finished the top three honors with scores of 111 and 108 for a weekend total of 219.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
