South Florida Summer Kickoff

From June 6-7, 2021 the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the South Florida Summer Kickoff. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division,  and Girls 14-18 Division.

Boys 16-18

Diego Rojas from Port St. Lucie, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Rojas brought in scores of 79 and 79 for a combined total of 158 (+18) for the weekend. Luke Wise from Palm Beach Gardens, FL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 80 and 82 for a combined total of 162 (+22). Luca Alexis Monteverde from Boca Raton, FL finished the top three honors with scores of 84 and 85 for a weekend total of 169 (+29).

Nicholas Viana from Coral Gables, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Viana brought in scores of 79 and 79 for a combined total of 158 (+18) for the weekend. Alex Morales from Boca Raton, FL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 85 and 79 for a combined total of 164 (+24). Benjamin Bostwick from Palm Beach, Fl and William Keiley from Jupiter, FL tied for third-place. Bostwick brought in scores of 84 and 83 for a combine score of 167 (+27), while Keiley tallied round scores of 88 and 79 to finish at 167 (+37).

Maurice Hoben III from Jupiter, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Hoben brought in scores of 78 and 73 for a combined total of 151 (+11) for the weekend. Xin (Tommy) Wang from Bradenton, China was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 76 and 80 for a combined total of 156 (+16). Charlie Woods from North Palm Beach, FL finished the top three honors with scores of 84 and 75 for a weekend total of 159 (+19)

Ana Victoria Soto from Caracas, Venezuela was the first-place finisher this weekend. Soto brought in scores of 82 and 75 for a combined total of 157 (+17) for the weekend. Noelle Jensen from Boca Raton, FL and Kylie Sebastian from Novato, CA tied for second-place. Jensen tallied scored of 79 and 79 for a combined 158 (+18), while Sebastian brought in round scores of 80 and 79 for a combined 158 (+18).

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
