South Florida Kickoff at PGA National

From December 28th & 29th, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the SouthFlorida Kickoff at PGA National. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18,Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Bryson DeChambeau Boys Under 10, Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, and JustinRose Division Girls Under 13.

John Aber from Sewickley, PA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Aber brought in scores of 79 and 76 for a combined total of 155 for the weekend. Ty Kretz from Marinette, WI was one of the runner up for the weekend with scores of 80 and 76 for a combined total of 156. Ryan Whitehead from Sudbury, MA Carolina rounded out the top three honors. Whitehead ended the weekend with scores of 74 and 83 for a weekend total of 157.

Kelvin Hernandez from Gurabo, Puerto Rico was able to seal his victory by ending the weekend with scores of 73 and 74 for a combined total of 147. Clayton Beacher was the runner up this weekend with scores of 76 and 78 a combined total of 154.  Jack Marshall from Lake Forest, Illinois and Thomas Cush from Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida tied for the top three honors. Marshall had scores of 81 and 75 for a weekend total of 156. Cush had a weekend total score of 156 shooting scores of 80 and 76.

Jizhou Tian from Lake Mary, Florida was the first-place finisher this weekend. Tian brought in scores of 76 and 78 with a combined score of 154. Nicco Salemi from Davie, Florida was the second-place finisher with scores of 78 for a total of 156. To round out the top three was Joseph Bueme Jr. from Buffalo, New York. Bueme ended the weekend with scores of 86 and 80 for a total of 166.

Siuue (Masa) Wu from Bradenton, Hong Kong was the top finisher with scores of 77 and 78 for a 155 weekend finish. Lisa Copeland from Naperville, Illinois and Kylie Turner from Jacksonville Beach, Florida tied this weekend for the runner up title. Copeland had scores of 82 and 79 for a weekend total of 161.  Turner had scores of 86 and 75 for a weekend total of 161.

Perla SolSigurbrandsdottir from Reykjavik, Iceland was the first-place finisher this weekend.Sigurbrandsdotti had scores of 73 and 79 for a weekend total of 152. ValentinaHurtado from Weston, Florida was the second-place finisher with scores of 81and 80, a weekend total of 161. Rayee B. Feng from Short Hills, New Jersey roundedout the top three with scores of 83 and 85, a weekend total of 168.

Ignacio Hurtado from Weston, Florida was the first-place finisher this weekend. Hurtado brought in scores of 77and 82 with a combined score of 159. Jake Williams from Miami, Florida was the second-place finisher with scores of 83 and 82 a weekend total of 165.  To round out the top three was William Cui from Lake Forest, Illinois. Cui had weekend scores of 82 and 87 for a weekend total of 169.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
