On Saturday April 14- Sunday April 15, 2018 The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the South Florida Jr. Open at Bonaventure Country Club-East Course in Weston, Florida. The tournament was made of 36-hole , two-day format and included golfers from six divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Boys Under 10 Division, Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18 and the Justin Rose Division Girls Under 13.

Tiger Woods Boys 16-18

South Florida Junior Open

Logan Bryant of Miami, Florida finished in first place in the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18 after a playoff against Jack Buccigross of Naples Florida. Logan and Jack finished with a two-day total score of 161 before entering the playoff. Jack fell short in the playoff and finished in second place. Nick Macsuga of West Palm Beach, Florida finished in third place with a two-day total score of 164(79-85).

Will Smith Boys 14-15

South Florida Junior Open

In the Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Connor MacDonald of Stuart, Florida finished in first place with a two-day total score of 196(102-94). Eric Stape of Miami, Florida came in second place with a two-day total score of 215(106-109). Walter Pfaffenberger of West Palm Beach, Florida finished in third place with a two-day total score of 220(104-116).

Ernie Els 11-13

South Florida Junior Open

In the Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Rafe Cochran of Palm Beach, Florida finished in first place with a two-day total score of 173(82-91) after winning the playoff against Dalton Payne. Dalton Payne of Estero, Florida came in second place with a two-day total score of 173(83-90). Ethan Keen of West Palm Beach, Florida finished in third place with a two-day total score of 174.

Justin Timberlake Girls 14-18

South Florida Junior Open

In the Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18 Kayla Holden of Coral Springs, Florida finished in first place with a two-day total score of 156(79-77). Tori Bien of Hollywood, Florida came in second place with a two-day total score of 161(79-82). Zoey Iglesias of Port Saint Lucie, Florida finished in third place with a two-day total score of 171(84-87).

Justin Rose Girls U13

South Florida Junior Open

Morgan Rodriguez of Delray Beach, Florida finished in first place in the Justin Rose Division Girls Under 13. Morgan finished with a two-day total score of 164(78-86). Alessandra Lorenz of Davie, Florida came in second place with a two-day total score of 172(82-90). Madison Moman of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida came in third place with a two-day total score of 173(87-86).

Boys 10 Under

South Florida Junior Open

Josh Lieberman of Parkland, Florida finished in first place with a total two-day score of 168(89-79) in the Boys Under 10 Division. Hampton Beebe of West Palm Beach , Florida came in second place with a two-day total score of 176(90-86). Conner Zanti of Homestead, Florida finished in third place with a total two-day score of 193(90-103).

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
