South Florida Fall Open

On Saturday November 17 – Sunday November 18, 2018 The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the South Florida Fall Open in Miami Beach, FL. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole, two-day format and the field was made from five divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Justin Rose Division Girls U13, and the Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18.

Tiger Woods Boys 16-18

South Florida Fall Open

Patrick Galleher of Midlothian, VA captured the first-place finish at the South Florida Fall Open in the Tiger Woods Boys 16-18 division with a 2-day total of +3. With solid play both days, Galleher was able to hold off Kota Ando who had a total of +8. Avery Arasin rounded out the division with the 3rd place finish by shooting a 2-day total of +11.

Will Smith Boys 14-15

South Florida Fall Open

In the Will Smith Boys 14-15 division, Percy Yang took home first place this weekend by shooting a 2-day total of +24. Solid play in the second round allowed Yang to take victory over George Myint who finished second with a 2-day total of +36. Rounding out the division was Mauricio Sanchez of Mexico who finished with +44 to claim the 3rd place finish.

Ernie Els 11-13

South Florida Fall Open

Asher Joseph did not disappoint in the Ernie Els boys 11-13 division with even par to win in his division over Hubert Ramirez of Miami, Florida who claimed second with a total of +24.  Rounding out the division were Xiaoyi Gu and Christian Figueredo who both placed in 3rd with a two-day total of +25.

Justin Timberlake Girls 14-18

South Florida Fall Open

Natalia Jimenez ended up with the first-place finish in the Justin Timberlake Girls 14-18 Division by winning a total of +10.  With consistent rounds, Jimenez was able to hold off 2nd place finisher Tori Bien of Hollywood, FL who finished with a total of +14. Rounding out the division was Makenna Rodriguez and Isabella Bailly who shot a 2-day total of +17 to claim a tie for 3rd place.

Justin Rose Girls U13

Gianna Clemente ended up with the first-place finish in the Justin Rose Girls U13 Division by shooting a total of -4 for the weekend. With consistent rounds, Clemente was able to hold off Morgan Rodriguez of Delray Beach as she scored +3 to claim 2nd place. Rounding out the division was Remi Bacardi who shot a 2-day total of +11 to claim a 3rd place finish.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
