South Florida Fall Junior Open

From November 23rd and 24th the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held South Florida Fall Junior Open, at Normandy Shores Golf Course. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions, that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Bryson DeChambeau Boys U10, Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, Justin Rose Girls U13.

South Florida Fall Junior Open

Minjun Kim, from Port St Lucie, Fl was the first-place finisher this weekend. Kim brought in scores of 68 and 73 for a combined total of 141 for the weekend. Sebastian Collins from Bermuda was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 71 and 73 for a combined total of 144. Also shooting a tournament total of 144 and tieing for the second spot, from Bradenton, Florida Shoichiro Sakamoto. He was able to shoot rounds of 67 and 77. Niels Schmidlin from Walchwil, Switzerland claimed the third place spot with shooting rounds of 73 and 73 for a tournament total of 146.

Will Smith Boys 14-15

South Florida Fall Junior Open

Zion Taylor from Nassu, Bahamas was able to claim the top spot this weekend. Taylor shot rounds of 71 and 80 for a tournament total of 151. Anthony Garcia from Miami, Florida shot a total of 153 with rounds of 80 and 73. Then rounding out the top three was, Luke Block from Albany, Nassau, Bahamas he shot rounds of 78 and  77 for a tournament total of 155.

Ernie Els 11-13

South Florida Fall Junior Open

Mikkel Senn from Walchwil, Switzerland was able to claim the first position. Senn shot rounds of 78 and 80 for a tournament total of 158. Gavin Schlembach from Delray Beach, FL came in second shooting scores of 81 and 80 for a tournament total of 161. Rounding out the top three was Samuel Gilden from Davie, FL. He was able to shoot rounds of 87 and 86 for a tournament total of 173.

Justin Timberlake Girls 14-18

South Florida Fall Junior Open

Holly Mclean from Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands was able to capture the first spot after a dramatic finish and playoff hole with Valentine Savioz from Port Saint Lucie, FL. They both shot a tournament total of 148, but Holly was able to birdie the last 4 holes to tie for first place. Then she was able to keep that birdie streak going with birding the first playoff hole to come out on top. In second we had Margaret Fernandez from Albany, Bahamas shot a tournament total of 150 and rounds of 75 and 75. Then rounding out the top three, from Delray Beach, FL was Makenna Rodriguez who was able to shoot rounds of 76 and 76 for a tournament total of 152.

Justin Rose Girls U13

South Florida Fall Junior Open

Remi Bacardi from Miami,FL was able to capture the first spot. She shot scores of 71 and 69 for a tournament total of 140. Coming in second place, with shooting a tournament total of 146 and rounds of 75 and 71 from Delray Beach, FL Morgan Rodriguez. Then closing out the top three was Alessandra Lorenz. She was able to shoot rounds of 79 and 78 for the tournament.

Boys 10 Under

South Florida Fall Junior Open

Bento Assis from Porto Alegre, Brazil was able to clain the first spot. Assis was able to shoot rounds of 75 and 83 for a tournament total of 158. Ignacio Hurtado was able to finish in second place, he was able to shoot rounds of 81 and 81 for a tournament total of 162. Then rounding out the top three for the weekend is Jake Williams frin Miami, FL. Williams was able to finish the weekend shooting a tournament total of 164.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
