From April 16th-17th, 2022, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Skybrook Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division, and Girls 14-18 Division.
Boys 16-18
Mohit Sanagavarapu from Edison, NJ was the first-place finisher this weekend. Sanagavarapu brought in scores of 72 and 73 for a combined total of 145 for the weekend. Hunter Justice from Cornelius, NC was the runner-up this weekend with scores of 75 and 73 for a combined total of 148. Patrick Daly from Summerfield, NC finished with top three honors with scores of 73 and 77 for a weekend total of 150.
Boys 14-15
Chase Daly from Summerfield, NC was the first-place finisher this weekend. Daly brought in scores of 79 and 78 for a combined total of 157 for the weekend. Parker Harcum from Mount Pleasant, SC was the runner-up this weekend with scores of 82 and 81 for a combined total of 163. Fernando Lopez from Santa Tecla, El Salvador and Aiden Penhall from Davidson, NC tied for top three honors with scores of 86 and 78, and 84 and 80, respectively, for a weekend total of 164 each.
Boys 11-13
Dexter James Jr. from Hudson, OH was the first-place finisher this weekend. James Jr. brought in scores of 84 and 87 for a combined total of 171 for the weekend. Andrew Blanchette from Davidson, NC was the runner-up this weekend with scores of 84 and 95 for a combined total of 179. Jason Freda from Lexington, MA finished with top three honors with scores of 112 and 98 for a weekend total of 210.
Girls 14-18
Malerie Lague from Huntersville, NC was the first-place finisher this weekend. Lague brought in scores of 83 and 75 for a combined total of 158 for the weekend. Alexis Blanchette from Davidson, NC, and Savannah Thessing from Mixa, MO tied for runner-up this weekend with scores of 87 and 89, and 90 and 86, respectively, for a combined total of 176 each.
Girls U13
Boys 10 Under
Noah Hollinger from Huntersville, NC was the first-place finisher this weekend. Hollinger brought in scores of 73 and 76 for a combined total of 149 for the weekend. Cameron Amen from Six Mile, SC was the runner-up this weekend with scores of 81 and 74 for a combined total of 155.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
