Sea Island Junior Open

From November 27-28, 2021, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Palm Beach Holiday Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division and Girls Under 13 Division.

Boys 16-18

Sea Island Junior Open

Ian Bramlett from Bethlehem, GA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Bramlett brought in scores of 75 and 74 for a combined total of 149 for the weekend. Yi Dong Wang from Foshan, China was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 76 and 76 for a combined total of 152. Ryan Porterfield from Cumming, GA finished the top three honors with scores of 76 and 77 for a weekend total of 153.

Alexander Rowland from Nassau, Bahamas was the first-place finisher this weekend. Rowland brought in scores of 72 and 78 for a combined total of 150 for the weekend. Aaron DeWitt from Winter Haven, FL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 81 and 73 for a combined total of 154. Cameron Kuchar from St. Simons Island, GA and Rush Williams from Brookhaven, GA tied for the top three honors. Kuchar finished the weekend with scores of 80 and 75 for a weekend total of 155. Williams completed the weekend with scores of 78 and 77 for a total of 155.

Brantley Moore from Memphis, TN was the first-place finisher this weekend after a playoff win against Grant Odom from Statesboro, GA. Moore brought in scores of 76 and 74 or a combined total of 150 for the weekend. Odom finished with scores of 75 and 75 for a combined total of 150. Thaxton Cheyne from Canton, GA and Will Perkins from Memphis, TN tied for the top three honors. Cheyne finished the weekend with scores of 78 and 78 for a weekend total of 156. Perkins completed the weekend with scores of 77 and 79 for a total of 156.

Mackenzie Connell from Mershon, GA finished the top three honors with scores of 81 and 83 for a weekend total of 164.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.

Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
