Savannah Junior Open 2022

From January 22-23, 2022, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Savannah Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division,  Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.

Savannah Junior Open 2022

Richard Fiedler from Pagosa Springs, CO was the first-place finisher this weekend. Fiedler brought in scores of 76 and 68 for a combined total of 144 for the weekend. Vaughn McMeans from Leesburg, VA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 77 and 74 for a combined total of 151. Luke Block from Albany, Nassau, Bahamas finished the top three honors with scores of 76 and 77 for a weekend total of 153.

Alejandro, Caraballo from Williamsburg WPGC, VA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Caraballo brought in scores of 77 and 73 for a combined total of 150 for the weekend. Connor Fitch from Roswell, GA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 84 and 79 for a combined total of 163. William Bassett from Savannah, GA finished the top three honors with scores of 86 and 79 for a weekend total of 165.

Noa Bridges from Ponte Vedra, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Bridges brought in scores of 87 and 78 for a combined total of 165 for the weekend. Braceton Beasley from Glenwood, GA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 85 and 83 for a combined total of 168. Jeff Adams from Hilton Head, SC finished the top three honors with a score of 87 both rounds for a weekend total of 174.

Isabella Wiley from Bagdad, KY was the first-place finisher this weekend. Wiley brought in scores of 80 and 75 for a combined total of 155 for the weekend. Sydney Himes from Columbus, GA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 96 and 86 for a combined total of 182. Amani Mehta from Fayetteville, GA finished the top three honors with scores of 94 and 97 for a weekend total of 191.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.

Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
