Savannah Junior Open

From January 23rd -24th , the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Savannah Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division.

Boys 16-18

Savannah Junior Open

Jerry Bruns from Beaufort, SC was the first-place finisher this weekend. Walker brought in scores of 72 and 72 for a combined total of 144 for the weekend. Zach Stewart from Duxbury, MA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 74 and 71 for a combined total of 145. Killian O’Reilly from Reva, Va and Eli Ricker from Grenville, SC finished the top three honors. O’Reilly brought in scores of 74 and 75 for a weekend total of 149. Ricker brought in scores of 76 and 73 for a weekend total of 149.

Jayden Carroll from North August, SC was the first-place finisher this weekend. Carrol brought in scores of 76 and 74 for a combined total of 150 for the weekend. Andrew Messalle from Savannah, GA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 78 and 77 for a combined total of 155. Abhay Sandhu from Surrey, Canada finished the top three honors with scores of 81 and 79 for a weekend total of 160.

Ethan Weinberg from Marlboro, NJ was the first-place finisher this weekend. Weinberg brought in scores of 76 and 75 for a combined total of 151 for the weekend. William Bassett from Savannah, GA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 85 and 81 for a combined total of 166. Theodore Rose from Mount Plesent, SC and Naman Sharma from Johns Creek, GA finished the top three honors. Theodore brought in scores fo 95 and 82 for a weekend total of 177. Sharma brought in scores 91 and 86 for a weekend total of 177.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.

Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
