Sarasota Junior Open

From September 21st to the 22nd, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Sarasota Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Bryson DeChambeau Division Boys Under 10,  Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, and Justin Rose Division Girls Under 13.

Sarasota Junior Open

Jiarong Liu from OT, China was the first-place finisher this weekend. Liu brought in scores of 77 and 71 for a combined total of 148 for the weekend. Mitchell Schwab from Westport, Connecticut was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 72 and 77 for a combined total of 149. Aaron Jarvis from George Town, Cayman Islands finished the top three honors with scores of 72 and 78 for a weekend total of 150.

Will Smith Boys 14-15

Sarasota Junior Open

Jayden Diaz, from Atlantic Beach, Florida was able to seal his victory by ending the weekend with scores of 75 and 77 for a combined total of 152. Rayan Nabilzadeh from Stamford, Connecticut as the runner up with scores of 79 and 74 for a 153 weekend total. Jaikai Chen from Lakewood Ranch, Florida finished the top three honors with scores of 78 and 77 for a weekend total of 156.

Ernie Els 11-13

Sarasota Junior Open

Jack Rose from Boca Raton, Florida was the first-place finisher this weekend. Rosen brought in scores of 73 and 75 with a combined score of 148. Conlin Bradshaw from Winter Gardens, Florida was the second-place finisher with scores of 75 and 76 for a total of 151. To round out the top three was Parker Severs from Lakewood Ranch, Floirda. Severs ended the weekend with scores of 78 and 78 for a total of 156.

Justin Timberlake Girls 14-18

Sarasota Junior Open

Georgia Ruffolo from Tampa, Florida was the top finisher with impressive scores of 72 and 74 for a 146 weekend finish. Piper Hill from Medford, Minnesota took home the runner up title with scores of 70 and 77 for a weekend total of 147.  Jingxiu Huang from Lakewood Ranch, Florida rounded out the top three with scores of 76 and 79 a combined total of 155.

Justin Rose Girls U13

Sarasota Junior Open

Chloe Chang from Sarasota, Florida was the top finisher for the Justin Rose division with scores of 72 and 77. Her combined total for the weekend was 149 strokes. Hayli Snaer from Venice, Florida was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 81 and 78, a combined total of 159 strokes.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
