TPC Prestancia Junior Open

On Saturday October 20 – Sunday October 21, 2018 The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the TPC Prestancia Junior Open at TPC Prestancia in Sarasota, FL. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole, two-day format and the field was made from five divisions that included the Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Justin Rose Division Girls U13, and the Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18.

Tiger Woods Boys 16-18

TPC Prestancia Junior Open

Keita Okada captured the first-place finish at the TPC Prestancia Junior Open in the Tiger Woods Boys 16-18 division with a 2-day total of 144 (70-74). With solid play both days, Okada was able to hold off Santiago Urrutia by 2 shots. Simon Haas rounded out the division with the 3rd place finish shooting a 2-day total of 147 (73-74).

Will Smith Boys 14-15

TPC Prestancia Junior Open

In the Will Smith Boys 14-15 division, Zensen Hu took home first place this weekend in shooting a 2-day total of 140. Solid play in the second round allowed Williams to take victory over Xirong Cheng who finished second with a 2-day total of 147. Rounding out the division was Armand Loscalzo who placed third with a two day total of 149.

Ernie Els 11-13

TPC Prestancia Junior Open

Frank Kennedy did not disappoint in the Ernie Els boys 11-13 division as he carded rounds of 69-74 to win in his division over Louie Liu who carded rounds of 75-69 to claim 2nd place. Rounding out the division was Soeren Benedikt Kluge who tied for third with a two day total of 154.

Justin Timberlake Girls 14-18

TPC Prestancia Junior Open

Annabell Fuller ended up with the first-place finish in the Justin Timberlake Girls 14-18 Division by carding a total of 143 (71-72). With consistent rounds, Fuller was able to hold off 2nd place finisher Agustina Gomez Cisterna by 2 shots. Rounding out the division was Handa Liu who shot a 2-day total of 146 to claim a 3rd place finish.

Justin Rose Girls U13

TPC Prestancia Junior Open

Addison Klonowski ended up with the first-place finish in the Justin Rose Girls U13 Division by carding a total of 160 (88-80). With consistent rounds, Klonowski was able to hold off Hayli Snaer of Venice, FL who claimed 2nd place. Rounding out the division was Mathea Sagel who shot a 2-day total of 170 to claim a 3rd place finish.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
