From July 23-24, 2022, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Sandy Burr Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.
Boys 16-18
Kyzar Joshi, from Ashland, Massachusetts was the first-place finisher this weekend after beating Nate Jordi in a playoff match. Joshi brought in scores of 73 and 68 for a combined total of 141 for the weekend. Jordi was the runner up with scores of 71 and 70 for a combined total of 141. Connor Allard, from Exeter, New Hampshire finished the top three honors with scores of 71 and 72 for a weekend total of 143.
Boys 14-15
Troy Gregg, from Stow, Massachusetts was the first-place finisher this weekend after beating Jimmy Schouller, from North Hampton, New Hampshire in a playoff match. Gregg brought in scores of 78 and 83 for a combined total of 161 for the weekend. Schouller was the runner up with scores of 81 and 80 for a combined total of 161. William Goldstein, from Weston, Massachusetts finished the top three honors with scores of 83 and 83 for a weekend total of 166.
Boys 11-13
Brian Li, from Newton, Massachusetts was the first-place finisher this weekend. Li brought in scores of 76 and 79 for a combined total of 155 for the weekend. Jack Ables, from Sudbury, Massachusetts was the runner up with scores of 91 and 101 for a combined total of 192. Sun Qifeng, from Pasadena, California finished the top three honors with scores of 93 and 103 for a weekend total of 196.
Girls 14-18
Keira Joshi, rom Ashland, Massachusetts was the first-place finisher this weekend. Joshi brought ins cores of 75 and 77 for a combined total of 152 for the weekend. Lorelai Flanagan, from Arlington, Massachusetts was the runner up with scores of 74 and 79 for a combined total of 153. Sarah Yeh, from Danville, California and Katherine Vice, from Toronto, Canada finished the top three honors with scores of 78 and 76, and 78 and 76, respectively, for a weekend total of 154 each.
Girls U13
Sabrina Wu was the first-place finisher this weekend after beating Avva Nguyen in a playoff match. Wu brought in scores of 88 and 79 for a combined total of 167 for the weekend. Nguyen was the runner up with scores of 81 and 86 for a combined total of 167,
Boys 10 Under
Henry Bizzozero, from Hingham, Massachusetts was the first-place finisher this weekend. Bizzozero brought ins cores of 88 and 92 for a combined total of 180 for the weekend. Jayden Yang, from Vancouver, Canada was the runner up with scores of 95 and 93 for a combined total of 188. Wes Fireman, from Needham, Massachusetts finished the top three honors with scores of 112 and 116 for a weekend total of 228.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
