From December 11-12, 2021, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the San Jose Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division, and Girls 14-18 Division.
Boys 16-18

Charlie Farrell from San Francisco, CA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Farrell brought in scores of 74 and 76 for a combined total of 150 for the weekend. Easton Hether from Fairfield, CA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 74 and 79 for a combined total of 153. Joseph (JW) Keating from Hillsborough, CA finished the top three honors with scores of 79 and 78 for a weekend total of 157.
Boys 14-15

Benjamin Friedman from Mill Valley, CA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Friedman brought in scores of 75 and 76 for a combined total of 151 for the weekend. Jonathan Miller from Roseville, CA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 81 and 75 for a combined total of 156. Kyler Heath from Hillsborough, CA finished the top three honors with scores of 78 and 82 for a weekend total of 160.
Boys 11-13

Christian Choi from Los Altos, CA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Choi brought in scores of 78 and 78 for a combined total of 156 for the weekend. Brendan O’Keefe from Palo Alto, CA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 79 and 82 for a combined total of 161. Lucius Niesen from Scotts Valley, CA finished the top three honors with scores of 83 and 81 for a weekend total of 164.
Girls 14-18

Lexi Lowe from San Jose, CA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Lowe brought in scores of 79 and 76 for a combined total of 155 for the weekend. Rayne Ripperger from San Ramon, CA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 86 and 92 for a combined total of 178. Julia Torrez from Hollister, CA finished the top three honors with scores of 95 and 100 for a weekend total of 195.
Girls U13
Boys 10 Under

Marvin Liang from San Jose, CA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Liang brought in scores of 78 and 84 for a combined total of 162 for the weekend. Kaeden Schabel from Santa Cruz, CA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 86 and 87 for a combined total of 173.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
