Saddlebrook Junior Open

From January 18th to the 19th, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Saddlebrook Junior Open in Wesley Chapel, Florida. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format, with a field of six different divisions that include Tiger Woods Division Boys 16-18, Will Smith Division Boys 14-15, Ernie Els Division Boys 11-13, Bryson DeChambeau Boys u10, Justin Timberlake Division Girls 14-18, and Justin Rose Division Girls u13.

Brian (Taehoon) Park out of Gyeonngi-do, Republic of Korea took home a first-place finish this weekend. Park posted solid scores of 70 and 71 for a total of 141 on the weekend. Gavin Clutts out of Hazard, Kentucky and Karl Vilips out of Wesley Chapel, Florida tied for second place honors this weekend with scores of 143.

Yexing Li out of Shenzhen, China brought home a first-place finish this weekend. Li posted scores of 78 and 74 for a total of 152. Joseph Antonelli-Pike from Sarasota, Florida was the runner up posting scores of 79 and 80 for a total of 159. Aaron DeWitt out of Winter Haven, Florida and William Webb out of Raleigh, North Carolina rounded out the honors both totaling a score of 162 on the weekend.

Connor Newbold out of Wesley Chapel, Florida brought home a first-place finish this weekend. Connor posted scores of 80 and 78 for a total of 158. Mikkel Senn from Walchwil, Switzerland was the runner up posting scores of 85 and 78 for a total of 163. Ethan Keys out of Wesley Chapel, Florida rounds out the top three honors with scores of 81 and 84 for a total of 165 on the weekend.

Sophie Anand from Albany, Bahamas brought home a first -place finish this weekend. Sophie finished with scores of 70 and 78 for a total of 148 strokes. Andrea Woods out of Riverview, Florida was the runner up posting scores of 80 and 74 for a total of 154. Anne Fernandez from Albany, Bahamas rounds out the top three honors with scores of 79 and 76 for a total of 155.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
