From November 12-13, 2022, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Sacramento Fall Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of three divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.
Sam Higaki from San Mateo was the first-place finisher this weekend. Higaki brought in scores of 74 and 73 for a combined total of 147 for the weekend. Ryan Cavanaugh from Reno, NV was tied for the second place spot this weekend with scores of 72 and 76 for a combined total of 148. Joseph (JW) Keating from Hillsborough, CA tied for second place with scores of 75 and 73 for a weekend total of 148.
Rishi Gupta from Reno, NV was the first-place finisher this weekend. Gupta brought in scores of 78 and 76 for a combined total of 154 for the weekend. Jack Mount from Belvedere Tiburon, CA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 79 and 78 for a combined total of 157. Noah Duncan from Novato, CA finished the top three honors with scores of 84 and 91 for a weekend total of 175.
Ethan Cheng from Pleasanton,CA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Cheng brought in scores of 76 and 76 for a combined total of 152 for the weekend. Lucius Niesen from Scotts Valley, CA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 83 and 78 for a combined total of 161.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
