From November 26-27, 2022, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Reunion Thanksgiving Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.
Boys 16-18
Michael Nardone from West Palm Beach, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Nardone brought in scores of 71 and 73 for a combined total of 144 for the weekend. Luke Schaal from Invermere, Canada was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 71 and 77 for a combined total of 148. Langting Tymon Sun from Windermere, FL finished the top three honors with scores of 76 and 74 for a weekend total of 150.
Boys 14-15
Braeden Nelson from West Des Moines, IA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Nelson brought in scores of 71 and 77 for a combined total of 148 for the weekend. Logan Jensen from New Orleans, LA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 75 and 76 for a combined total of 151. Avery Liu from Windermere, FL finished the top three honors with scores of 78 and 77 for a weekend total of 155.
Boys 11-13
Ryan Oats from Lake Mary, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Oats brought in scores of 75 and 78 for a combined total of 153 for the weekend. Giancarlo Aguirre from Lima, Peru was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 78 and 78 for a combined total of 156. Rick Buakhum from Ellicott City, MD finished the top three honors with scores of 82 and 80 for a weekend total of 162.
Girls 14-18
Alexandra Snyder from Orlando, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Snyder brought in scores of 82 and 74 for a combined total of 156 for the weekend. Emma Sanabria from Orlando, FL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 76 and 84 for a combined total of 160.
Girls U13
Gayatri Arora from Pinehurst, NC was the first-place finisher this weekend. Arora brought in scores of 76 and 81 for a combined total of 157 for the weekend.
Boys 10 Under
Rio Buakhum from Ellicott City, MD was the first-place finisher this weekend. Buakhum brought in scores of 81 and 79 for a combined total of 160 for the weekend. Jeremy Zhang from Lincoln, MA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 97 and 87 for a combined total of 184.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
