Reunion Junior Open

From June 19-20, 2021, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Reunion Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division,  Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.

Boys 16-18

Reunion Junior Open

Murphy Allard from Rogers, AR was the first-place finisher this weekend. Allard brought in scores of 71 and 72 for a combined total of 143 (-1) for the weekend. Yuo Torii from Howey in the Hills, FL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 71 and 75 for a combined total of 146 (+2). Sho Suzuki from Bradenton, FL finished the top three honors with scores of 70 and 78 for a weekend total of 148 (+4).

Reunion Junior Open

Roman Soloman from Sarasota, FL made a birdie to win the playoff for first-place this weekend.  \ Soloman brought in scores of 77 and 70 for a combined total of 147 (+3) for the weekend. Blake Cornell from Daphne, AL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 73 and 74 for a combined total of 147 (+3). Will Browing from Orlando, FL finished the top three honors with scores of 76 and 76 for a weekend total of 152 (+8).

Ziyang Wang from Orlando, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Wang brought in scores of 77 and 79 for a combined total of 156 (+12) for the weekend. Xin (Tommy) Wang from Brandenton, China was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 86 and 73 for a combined total of 159 (+15). Avery Liu from Windermere, FL finished the top three honors with scores of 83 and 79 for a weekend total of 162 (+22).

Sakurako Tanaka from Japan was the first-place finisher this weekend. Tanaka brought in scores of 72 and 74 for a combined total of 146 (+2) for the weekend. Katherine Schaefer from Southwest Ranches, FL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 76 and 74 for a combined total of 150 (+6). Isabella Diaz from Miradores Del Mar, Mexico and Angela Jiang from Miami, FL tied for third-place. Diaz Diaz brought in scores of 73 and 79 for a combined score of 152 (+8), while Jiang tallied scores of 81 and 71 for a weekend score of 152 (+8).

Isabella Melendez from Orlando, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Melendez brought in scores of 77 and 76 for a combined total of 153 (+9) for the weekend. Maya Fujisawa Keuling from Carmel, IN was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 88 and 80 for a combined total of 168 (+24). Silvana Hernandez from Bucaramanga, Colombia finished the top three honors with scores of 88 and 85 for a weekend total of 173 (+29).

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
