From November 27-28, 2021, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Red Tail Thanksgiving Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Girls 14-18 Division and Girls Under 13 Division.
Boys 16-18

Dylan Bingwen Ma from Jacksonville, China was the first-place finisher this weekend. Ma brought in scores of 75 and 75 for a combined total of 150 for the weekend. Ryan Hogan from Lake Mary, FL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 75 and 76 for a combined total of 151. Mathieu Lafontaine from Vaudreuil- Dorion, Canada finished the top three honors with scores of 78 and 74 for a weekend total of 152.
Boys 14-15

Jiacheng Xu from Winter Garden, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Xu brought in scores of 73 and 72 for a combined total of 145 for the weekend. Ethan Hoffmann from Boca Raton, Germany was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 71 and 76 for a combined total of 147. Mingbo Jiang from Hangzhou, China finished the top three honors with scores of 74 and 78 for a weekend total of 152.
Boys 11-13

Nicklaus Downing from Windermere, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Downing brought in scores of 73 and 72 for a combined total of 145 for the weekend. Theodor Kruus from Stockholm, Sweden was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 77 and 72 for a combined total of 149. Avery Liu from Windermere, FL and Ziyang Wang from Orlando, FL tied for the top three honors. Liu finished with scores of 79 and 76 for a total of 155. Wang completed the weekend with scores of 78 and 77 for a combined total of 155 for the weekend.
Girls 14-18

Anne-Lea Lavoie from Quebec, Canada was the first-place finisher this weekend. Lavoie brought in scores of 73 and 72 for a combined total of 145 for the weekend. Angela (Yiting) Wang from Windermere, FL was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 76 and 77 for a combined total of 153. Genevieve Colgan from Quebec, Canada finished the top three honors with scores of 77 and 80 for a weekend total of 157.
Girls U13

Alexandra Snyder from Orlando, FL was the first-place finisher this weekend. Snyder brought in scores of 80 and 74 for a combined weekend total of 154.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.
Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
