Pinehurst Summer Junior Open

From June 12-13, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Pinehurst Summer Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys Under 10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.

Pinehurst Summer Junior Open

Jack Wooldridge from Wildwood, MO was the first-place finisher this weekend. Wooldridge brought in scores of 69 and 72 for a combined total of 141 for the weekend. Luke Vance from Crozet, VA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 71 and 78 for a combined total of 149. Jackson Lesley from Myrtle Beach, SC finished the top three honors with scores of 75 and 76 for a weekend total of 151.

Michael Bennett from Williamsburg, VA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Bennett brought in scores of 78 and 76 for a combined total of 154 for the weekend. Elijah Felty from North Chesterfield, VA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 77 and 78 for a combined total of 155. Jordan Quint from Kiawah Island, SC finished the top three honors with scores of 77 and 80 for a weekend total of 157.

Grant Baer from Lantana, TX was the first-place finisher this weekend. Baer brought in scores of 72 and 73 for a combined total of 145 for the weekend. Logan Wade from Charlotte, NC and David Pittenger from Charlotte, NC tied for runner up this weekend. Wade brought in scores of 83 and 80 and Pittenger brought in scores of 79 and 84 for a combined total of 163.

Madison Baer from Lantana, TX was the first-place finisher this weekend. Baer brought in scores of 74 and 71 for a combined total of 145 for the weekend. Emerson Devers from Murrells Inlet, SC was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 83 and 77 for a combined total of 160. Jacqueline Cingel from Scituate, MA finished the top three honors with scores of 82 and 86 for a weekend total of 168.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.

Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division. The HJGT season is based on a calendar year and players earn points throughout the season towards year end honors beginning December 31, 2021.
