From January 2nd to the 3rd, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Phoenix Winter Junior Open. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of six divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Boys U10 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.
Boys 16-18

Cameron Keith from Alamo, CA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Keith brought in scores of 69 and 64 for a combined total of 133 for the weekend. Jack Dozer from Phoenix, AZ and Quinn Yost from Farmington, MN tied for the second place honors this weekend. Dozer brought in scores of 69 and 68 for a combined total of 137. Yost finished the weekend with scores of 70 and 67 for a weekend total of 137.
Boys 14-15

Colin Keith from Alamo, CA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Keith brought in scores of 68 and 71 for a combined total of 139 for the weekend. Alec Hilgers from Litchfield Park, AZ was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 68 and 73 for a combined total of 141. Tommy Kelley from Omaha, NE finished the top three honors with scores of 77 and 75 for a weekend total of 152.
Boys 11-13

Jack Kelley from Omaha, NE was the first-place finisher this weekend. Kelley brought in consistant scores of 82 for a combined total of 164 for the weekend.
Girls 14-18

Dakota Tallent was the first-place finisher this weekend. Tallent brought in scores of 74 and 70 for a combined total of 144 for the weekend. Katie Ruge from Omaha, NE was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 76 and 71 for a weekend total of 147. Emily Cheng from Colorado Springs, CO finished the top three honors with scores of 76 and 72, finishing with a 148 total.
Girls U13

Aubrey Hilgers from Litchfield Park, AZ was the first-place finisher this weekend. Hilgers brought in scores of 73 and 79 for a combined total of 152 for the weekend. Katherine Keith from Alamo, CA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 78 and 80 for a combined total of 158. Regan Dusenbery from Wichita, KS finished the top three honors with scores of 79 and 81 for a combined total of 160.
Boys 10 Under

Julian Koehler from Mill Valley, CA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Koehler brought in scores of 70 and 77 for a combined total of 147 for the weekend.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour
In 2017, The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour announced a partnership with Nexus, an international hospitality and entertainment company backed by financier Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, golfing great Tiger Woods and musician and entertainer Justin Timberlake, which will further our collective goal of growing the game of golf, broadening the Tour’s reach across the U.S. and around the world.
The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intent of providing junior golfers between the ages of 11-18, and now 10 and under, an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. Golfers who participate on the tour will compete in one of six age divisions: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys U10, Girls 14-18, and Girls U13. Based out of Jacksonville, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the nation, with stops in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In 2016, we have now expanded to the west coast and cover California, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, and Oregon.
