Philadelphia Junior Open at Philmont

From July 21-22, the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour held the Philadelphia Junior Open at Philmont. The tournament was made up of a 36-hole format with a field of five divisions that included the Boys 16-18 Division, Boys 14-15 Division, Boys 11-13 Division, Girls 14-18 Division, and Girls Under 13 Division.

Boys 16-18

Philadelphia Junior Open at Philmont

Brendan Harrington from West Chester, PA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Harrington brought in scores of 73 and 71 for a combined total of 144 (+4) for the weekend. Liam Hempel from Media, PA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 70 and 79 for a combined total of 149 (+9). Sam Mitchell from Pottstown, PA finished the top three honors with scores of 74 and 76 for a weekend total of 150 (+10).

Ethan Law from Brooklyn, NY was the first-place finisher this weekend. Law brought in scores of 73 and 69 for a combined total of 142 (+2) for the weekend. Holden Schipper from Lebanon, NJ was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 82 and 73 for a combined total of 155 (+15). Kasim Narinesingh-Smith from Kennett Square, PA finished the top three honors with scores of 82 and 77 for a weekend total of 159 (+19).

Davis Conaway from West Chester, PA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Conaway brought in scores of 81 and 77 for a combined total of 158 (+10) for the weekend. Onyu Park from Blue Bell, PA was the runner up for the weekend with scores of 95 and 88 for a combined total of 183 (+35). Paul Reilly from West Creek, NJ finished the top three honors with scores of 91 and 93 for a weekend total of 184 (+36).

Chaela Barnett from Hatboro, PA was the first-place finisher this weekend. Barnett brought in scores of 74 and 79 for a combined total of 153 (+5) for the weekend. Stefania Fedun from Glenmoore, PA and Emma Reilly from Doylestown, PA tied for second-place with a score of 159 (+11). Fedun brought in round scores of 84 and 75, while Reilly tallied scores of 79 and 80.

About Hurricane Junior Golf Tour

The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT) was founded in 2007 with the intention of providing junior golfers between the ages of 8-18 an opportunity to play exceptional courses in a competitive environment. The tour’s vision is to provide superb hospitality and make every event a memorable one. With play open to both males and females, nearly every junior golfer is eligible to participate on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour. Currently the HJGT is the largest multi-day junior golf tour in the United States hosting more 2-day nationally ranked events than any other tour. The HJGT has been able to achieve this goal by running the most professional events and providing an exceptional value to all of our players and families over the last 14 years.

Based out of Orlando, FL, the HJGT administers events all across the country. In 2021, the HJGT will conduct events in Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Canada. Juniors will compete in 1 of 6 divisions which are: Boys 16-18, Boys 14-15, Boys 11-13, Boys under 10, Girls 14-18, and Girls Under 13. Click here to view approximate yardages for each division.
